About The Position

The Finishing and Sanding Technician is responsible for preparing materials for paint application, including filling, sanding, and quality control. This role involves moving products in relation to paint repair and ensuring the final product meets quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Must be a quick learner, able to multi-task and switch gears easily.
Flexibility to work both paint and finishing.
Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Working knowledge of product being utilized.

Responsibilities

Prep material to include filling, sanding, and checking workload for paint application.
Perform quality control checks to ensure product is finished to proper standards.
Visually inspect products to determine the level of re-coat needed.
Mask and cover products for appropriate paint application.
Wipe down and clean products as needed.
Perform sanding using hand and power tools.
Fill voids with filler.
Perform daily paint application.
Manage proper paint disposal and material movement.
Utilize hand tools, spray equipment, hand rollers, sanders, and hydraulic lifts.
Use stencils and ensure proper placement.
Manage time to provide the desired outcome for repair (re-spray, bondo, re-roll).
Move products in and out of the workspace according to the coordinated plan.
