The Finishing System is a process designed to pre-treat metal (i.e., powder coat and liquid paint) to protect it from the environment. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. The work in this area is physically demanding and requires the ability to sustain a continuous work pace for extended periods.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of shop math.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
• High School diploma.
• Respirator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts from blueprints to verify that they are properly tagged.
• Use simple material handling equipment such as powered walking stackers, storage trucks and pallet trucks.
• Use simple measuring equipment such as tape measures.
• Learn proper grinding procedures to smooth welds and remove scratches from steel parts and enclosures.
• Hang parts weighing up to 200 lbs. on an overhead conveyor using material handling equipment.
• React to system alarms and perform basic sanding procedures.
