About The Position

Finishing is a critical step in the manufacturing process, ensuring that precision aerospace components meet quality, safety, and performance requirements before moving to inspection and assembly. Finisher I employees remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections that could impact product reliability, proper assembly, or long-term performance. Their work serves as a vital quality checkpoint, helping to ensure that parts are safe, functional, and ready for use in demanding military applications. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 months of related experience which should include experience deburring and/or finishing, in a machine shop environment
  • Employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Remove sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections from machined components to ensure parts meet engineering and quality specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects or irregularities that could affect product performance or compliance with specifications.
  • Support product durability and longevity by ensuring components are properly finished before moving to inspection or assembly.
  • Help prevent structural failures and assembly issues by ensuring parts are free of excess material and manufacturing defects.
  • Prepare parts for the next stage of production by ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for inspection, assembly, or shipment.
