METAL CRAFT, a precision machining company in Elk River, MN, is seeking a FINISHER for their DEBURRING department. The FINISHER will perform various functions such as deburring, polishing, washing, assembling, bead blasting, and visualizing to ensure customer required finishes. This role will involve pulling set up sheets, running vibratory tumblers, bead blasting, hand finishing, and straightening parts.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.
Must pay attention to detail.
Must be able to work in other areas on an as needed basis.
Show initiative in work by being a self-starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time in order to complete jobs in a timely matter.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
Deburring/finishing experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Examine cleaned objects to ensure conformance to standards.
Use hand tools such as deburring knives, chamfer tools, sheet sandpaper, and files to finish parts.
Operate and use vibratory finishing machines to tumble parts.
Operate and use bead blast blasting systems.
Pull set up sheets to complete parts.
Obtain first piece and move forward on completing a job.
Develop knowledge to be able to make edits to the set-up sheets to improve efficiencies.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
