About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Finisher- Curbs to support its construction work in Farmers Branch, Texas. The posting describes operation of a paving machine that spreads and levels asphaltic concrete on highway subgrade. The operator controls the machine’s movement, raises and lowers the screed, regulates screed width, and may oil, grease, service, and adjust equipment. The role also supports the paving crew with site preparation and other activities as needed. Work hours may be adjusted to meet project needs, including days, nights, and weekends. The work may involve adverse weather and hot or cold temperatures. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience operating asphalt equipment.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety.
- Diligence in demonstrating safe work practices.
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist the paving crew with site preparation and other activities as needed.
- Contribute as a team member toward Austin’s success.
- Attend daily safety meetings.
- Follow safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate the paving machine, controlling its movement, screed height, and screed width.
- Oil, grease, service, and adjust equipment as needed.
