About The Position

The primary responsibilities of the Finished Product Auditor are to perform the auditing, sampling, inspections and testing utilizing the approved methods and equipment to support Owensboro retort operations. Also required is reviewing all production processing records and HACCP records for compliance to requirements.

  • Perform other physical tasks which require pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, climbing (stairs and ladders), standing and sitting.
  • Able to use hands to perform a wide array of duties requiring fine manipulation and gross gripping.
  • Complete HACCP, Allergen and GMP training.

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, microbiology or other business related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by all plant Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies.
  • Attend all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) training.
  • Abide by plant GMP requirements.
  • Collect samples from Line 5 production and perform required finished product testing utilizing approved methods and equipment.
  • Record all finished product testing in required database systems.
  • Conduct review of all production processing and HACCP records for compliance to requirements.
  • Determine compliance to all production processing and HACCP records and release finished product when compliance is met (red & white wet savory).
  • Document and close out all process deviations.
  • Forward process deviations to JBT Technologies for disposition.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing procedures against the HACCP protocol.
  • Attend Better Process Control School with successful completion of course requirements.
  • Input processing parameters in Retort database as needed.
  • Release finished product in the SAP QM Module.
  • Release raw materials in the SAP QM Module.
  • Cover in process lab techs breaks and lunches.
  • Cover 2nd and 3rd shift record reviewer vacations and absences (working a 12 hour shift).
  • Participate in internal and external quality system audits.
  • Support R&D initiatives; heat pens, plant trials, sale sample runs, product qualifications, new product intensive care, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and standardization of lab equipment.
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Order laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Train associates and temporaries for laboratory coverage as needed.
  • Order temporary associates as needed.
  • Have computer knowledge working in Access, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, SAP QM Module and Interspec.
  • Support TPM Quality Maintenance Pillar to work on continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop training materials and participate in conducting annual quality training.
  • Attend and participate in QA team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required of the position or as directed.
