About The Position

This quality assurance position is responsible for the final inspection of Aluminum parts and Brake Component Parts. Uses gauges, markers, fixtures, jigs, calipers or any other measuring device to ensure parts meet customer requirements. The Finished Goods Assurance will support and aid in the Quality of parts per line(s). Making sure we are in Quality Compliance with the Quality of our part. Complete part quality checks in compliance with the standard for each model Support the review and disposition of defective parts Support confirming check sheets are complete. This position will also require that the person understands and can perform testing as directed by the Quality team. When accomplishing tasks, remember to work toward meeting overall company goals established which include, OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in related field
  • Blueprint reading
  • Hand tools use
  • Measuring tools experience
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships.
  • Familiar with manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office programs

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years Astemo experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the final inspection of Aluminum parts and Brake Component Parts.
  • Uses gauges, markers, fixtures, jigs, calipers or any other measuring device to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
  • Support and aid in the Quality of parts per line(s).
  • Making sure we are in Quality Compliance with the Quality of our part.
  • Complete part quality checks in compliance with the standard for each model.
  • Support the review and disposition of defective parts.
  • Support confirming check sheets are complete.
  • Understands and can perform testing as directed by the Quality team.
  • Promotes a safety first attitude and provides safe work environment by obtaining knowledge and then following all required OSHA regulations.
  • Coordinates safety and environment repair activities.
  • Assist to ensure that parts knowledge and training is completed where needed.
  • Follows work instructions and point cards and other direction as given.
  • Ensures quality requirements and packaging requirements are met.
  • Ensures associates understands and follows all change point procedures and completes all required documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy quantity and labeling of containers as they are packed for shipment.
  • Responsible for communication to production management any concerns.
  • May use pallet jacks for material movement.
  • Timely completion of tasks.
  • Suggest and Implement improvement ideas.
  • Cross trained in various FGA positions in one or more departments.
  • Supports Business Plan Targets and monitors measurable goals based on Business Plan objectives.
  • Reports quality issues to quality department and production issues to Manufacturing department.
