About The Position

QuickCable is the leading domestic manufacturer of connectors, cable assemblies, and tools in the DC Electrical Market. Our components, cable assemblies, and accessories are used wherever high performance and reliability are critical. You will find our products in Commercial Vehicles, Construction, Aviation Ground Support, Agricultural, Material Handling, and various other commercial and industrial equipment. We engineer and manufacture in the United States, have a strong presence in Canada, and distribute globally. Our valued workforce is committed to our customers' success through innovative products, custom solutions, and superior service. This role involves assembling and packaging various assemblies according to work instructions and bills of material. The assembler will use hand tools, operate a bagging machine, pack parts into boxes, perform quality checks, and maintain production logs. Safety and maintaining a clean work area are paramount. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of weight and length measurement.
  • Ability to accurately read and write in English and comprehend instructions, and bills of material, and ability to complete written forms.
  • Proficient with basic computer data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a fairly repetitive basis.
  • Requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be team-oriented and be open to corrective feedback.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three months experience in assembly production is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and SOP’s
  • Interpret BOM’s and routings
  • Apply necessary components to various assemblies
  • Assembles parts using hand tools
  • Packs parts using a bagging machine
  • Packs parts into boxes
  • Performs and log quality checks
  • Reports and log daily production and scrap material
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations
  • Reports any unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to lead or supervisor.
  • Maintains work area and tools clean and placed in proper locations
  • Moves finished goods to proper locations
  • Performs daily cleaning tasks
  • Labels finished goods with appropriate labels
