About The Position

The Finish Stager is responsible for receiving cases from the clean-up area and relocating them to the finish staging area based on the required finish color. This role involves daily tracking of off-schedule items to assist the supervisor in maintaining correct finish levels and periodically checking the clean-up area for late items that need to be staged for the next finish run. The stager will also load and unload the line, handle bleaching and processing of special order cases, and scan finishing room tickets after completion. Additionally, they will organize strike-off panel finishes and place them in the finish line-up. Other assigned tasks by the Supervisor may include loading the line by pulling material from the Whitewood Storage area to the conveyor and loading in the assigned order, and occasionally screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets. The role also requires adherence to plant safety rules and maintaining a clean work area with a focus on quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in finish staging of high quality casegoods furniture
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop and bend over the course of 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift drawers as needed.
• Must be able to pull large cases in and out of staging area.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor such as loading the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order, and occasionally screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets.
• Observes plant safety rules.
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
