About The Position

This position is for a Finish Painter / Shipper on the first shift. The workdays are Monday through Thursday, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The starting salary ranges from $24.24 to $27.73 hourly, with a potential additional $2.00 per hour technical differential after meeting CBA criteria. Requirements

• Six thousand (6,000) hours of experience required to perform work and attain necessary skills.
• A vocational or high school education or equivalent is required.
• On-the-job training to learn trade techniques and procedures.
• Must adhere to the requirements set forth in the Inventory Security Policy.
• Must be a sole US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Mix paint materials to proper color and consistency according to manufacturer's instructions.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint and other finishes to manufactured products, buildings, etc., using brush or power equipment.
• Properly label and store paint and chemicals.
• Clean, maintain, and store applicators, supplies, and materials.
• Inspect finished surfaces for proper appearance and use to determine paint build thickness.
• Perform daily/weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Perform other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
• Work a minimum of twenty (20) percent of each week on painting (and related) duties.
