Finish Excavator - Redwater, AB
About The Position
Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, seasonal position at the Nutrien Redwater Fertilizer Plant in Redwater, AB. The role requires a hard-working, reliable individual with a flexible schedule and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions. The operator will be responsible for the safe operation of an excavator for tasks such as stripping, ditching, sloping, and leveling, and must be able to operate in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment. The company emphasizes a strong safety culture.
Requirements
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Excavator operator.
- Experience with finishing work (sloping, leveling) required.
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of Excavator as it pertains to stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling
- Operate Dozer/Excavator in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
