About The Position

Conco Construction is seeking a Finish Carpenter for commercial and industrial construction projects in Wichita, Kansas. The carpenter installs commercial doors and hardware, millwork, toilet accessories, and commercial trims and finishes. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on experience and performance. Field employees are expected to follow safety rules, arrive on time, maintain a positive attitude, work as part of a team, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical capacity test as conditions of employment. Wages are based on experience and performance. Employees are responsible for transportation to and from the job site and must be able to work outside normal operating hours: generally 7 a.m.–4 p.m., with seasonal schedules of 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. in winter/fall and 7 a.m.–4 p.m. in spring/summer.

Requirements

• Ability to swing doors and install commercial hardware of all types.
• Ability to install millwork, including upper and base cabinets, countertops, and backsplashes.
• Ability to install toilet accessories.
• Ability to install commercial trims and finishes, including casing, base, FRP, wall panels, and soffits.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or greater occasionally and 25–50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors and stand for most of the day.
• Ability to perform tasks while walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
• Must comply with safety rules, be punctual, maintain a positive attitude, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
• Must be able to work outside normal operating hours.
• Must provide transportation to and from the job site.
• Must provide a tool bag with a framing hammer (minimum 16 oz.), 25-foot tape measure, nail bag, nail puller, quick square, and utility knife; cordless hammer drill/driver; 1/4-inch impact; 2-foot and 4-foot levels; steel drill bits; and tap set.
