About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Finish Carpenters for projects in or around the Newbury, VT area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $40/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Experience in crown molding, decorative trim, baseboards, casings, built-in cabinetry, shelving, stair railings and balusters, interior doors, custom frames, fireplace mantels, and other fine woodworking
- Mastery of hand and power tools for finish carpentry
- Strong joinery skills, including miters, coped joints, and dovetails
- Deep understanding of materials, wood types, and their behavior
- Ability to produce flawless, high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow and convey instructions
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform master-level rough and finish carpentry, mill-work, and cabinetry
- Repair, alter, construct, or reconstruct residential structures and furnishings
- Install trim, cabinetry, doors, stair railings, wainscoting, wall paneling, fireplace mantels, and other architectural details
- Read and interpret plans accurately, ensuring precision and attention to detail
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate instructions clearly
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
