About The Position

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) is seeking an Adjunct Fine Arts Faculty member to teach courses such as Art Appreciation and Art History. This position is responsible to the Dean of General Education and requires the instructor to meet classes as assigned, provide student assistance, maintain professional skills, manage course materials, and uphold college policies. The role emphasizes professionalism, cooperation, and timely completion of duties.

Requirements

Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in related field
Proficient in the use of computers and basic computer applications
Commitment to work cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM
Ability to deliver quality customer services to a diverse student population
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Prior teaching experience in a higher education setting

Responsibilities

Teach classes as assigned by the appropriate Academic Dean, meeting each class for the full duration of each scheduled class period.
Provide availability to students a sufficient amount of time out of class to meet their needs for assistance with coursework.
Maintain skills and knowledge within his or her area, attending required professional development activities.
Maintain updated documents and grades in the current LMS, and submit grades in a timely manner as required by the Registrar’s Office.
Ensure a syllabus for each course taught is on file in the office of the appropriate Academic Dean and submit any revisions in a timely manner.
Review and select textbooks and/or other materials for assigned course(s).
Cooperate with the Advisory Committee for his or her program (if applicable) and incorporate feedback as appropriate.
Demonstrate consistent professionalism and commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel.
Complete any required reports within the prescribed time frame.
Attend functions at the College as requested by administrative officers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Vice Chancellor for Academics.
