We are seeking a Finance Transformation Intern to support the planning and implementation of projects aimed at optimizing financial processes, improving information quality, and strengthening internal controls. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and the structure of financial statements.
  • Proficient in Excel, including data manipulation.
  • Curious and motivated to learn, with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Intention to pursue a CPA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the documentation, updating, and optimization of key processes, including operational, financial, and organizational processes.
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, trends, or anomalies in specific cycles and tasks, and contribute to implementing appropriate controls to mitigate them.
  • Contribute to the documentation and improvement of financial close, consolidation, data management, and internal control processes.
  • Participate in the implementation or enhancement of financial tools, such as automation, dashboards, or data management solutions.
  • Support the team in creating and updating accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and in the planning and improvement of the monthly close cycle.
  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
