Federal - Financial Systems Analyst

Lodestar Consulting is seeking multiple full-time Financial System Analysts to support the Air Force. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of Financial Management for DAF Major Commands and bases. This role involves analyzing, reconciling, and correcting transactions to address accounting discrepancies such as missing contract modifications, incorrect disbursements, missing accounts receivable bills, and D-to-O balancing. The ideal candidate will possess impeccable attention to detail and solid functional end-to-end AF Financial Management Accounting or Budget experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of AF FM experience
- Experience in DoD FM processes and procedures for posting accounting entries
- Ability to brief and communicate effectively with senior leaders and managers
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)

- Experience reconciling contract / obligation documents
- Experience reviewing miscellaneous collection and disbursement vouchers

Responsibilities
- Ability to navigate AF accounting systems as well as feeder systems to perform data entry and/or data correction
- Ability to analyze financial data using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Power BI
- Ability to analyze/resolve accounting issues identified by FM customers
- Provide support to the other teams within SAF/FMF, e.g., surge and end of year processes
- Provide targeted assistance to users based on metrics, recurring critical task results, and results of other data analysis
