This role serves as the front-line point of contact for retail branch customers, executing activities to meet sales and service needs and branch goals. The Financial Specialist/Personal Banker II operates as a multi-functional team member, processing transactions, providing optimum service, and consulting in an advisory role to maximize sales potential. The position involves processing transactions accurately and efficiently while introducing products, services, and digital options to meet customer needs and expand relationships with Synovus. Key responsibilities include identifying customer needs, cross-selling, and up-selling opportunities to contribute to the financial growth of the branch. This role also acts as the first line of defense in preventing fraud and mitigating risk, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction. On average, approximately 60% of the time is spent performing Teller functions and 40% performing Relationship Banker functions. The role involves proactively greeting customers, assessing their needs, educating them on digital strategies, and directing them to appropriate service areas or banking representatives, as well as executing various customer transactions and assisting with inquiries and issue resolution.
