About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role at Bank of America is a developmental position focused on obtaining necessary securities industry licenses and learning the foundational skills of a financial advisor. This includes client relationship management, understanding complex financial situations, and providing advice and solutions. Upon obtaining licenses and reaching key milestones, the FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions. The role is designed for progression to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, with ongoing support from The Academy for career development within Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks, and failure to maintain registration may result in termination.

  • Learns and adapts to new technology or applications.
  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of being hired.
  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 within 120 Days.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry licenses including SIE, Series 7, and Series 66.
  • Learn and apply foundational skills for client relationship management, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships.
  • Assess clients' complex financial pictures and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Work in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice.
  • Deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Register with the federal registry system as required by the SAFE Act and maintain good standing.
