About The Position

Merrill Wealth Management is seeking motivated individuals for their Advisor Development Program as a Financial Solutions Advisor Trainee in the centralized segment. This program is designed to guide you through obtaining necessary securities licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66) and developing foundational advisory skills. You will learn to acquire, build, and manage client relationships, assess complex financial situations, and provide guidance and solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. Upon licensing, you will join the centralized team as a phone-based Financial Solutions Advisor, offering holistic financial advice and identifying appropriate Merrill and Bank of America products and services. The program provides a defined path for career growth within Merrill Wealth Management, supported by dedicated training, coaching, and resources.

  • Subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background check and registration process.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses.
  • Develop foundational skills in acquiring, building, and managing client relationships.
  • Assess clients' complex financial pictures and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Provide phone-based holistic financial advice and guidance.
  • Identify broader product and service solutions to meet clients' investment, savings, and liability management needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial markets and apply key principles.
  • Align Merrill and Bank of America products and services where appropriate.
  • Work with affluent and high net worth clients, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing recommendations.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice and deliver client reviews/presentations.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to all solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients by providing exceptional client care.
