About The Position

At Bank of America, a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated instruction and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66). The advisor then learns foundational skills in acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial situations; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and provide client care. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships with a client portfolio, with potential to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides training, programs, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. The role requires SAFE Act registration and the associated background check and registration process. Employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. SIE must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. The position is open across the market, with the specific financial center determined by business needs. The employee may train at one financial center and initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center within reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by law. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, 40 hours per week. Bank of America describes its culture as committed to in-office work, with role-specific flexibility. The role offers a base salary of $28.85–$33.65 per hour, with offers determined by experience, education, and skills; it is not incentive eligible and is benefits eligible.
