This role involves providing excellent customer service by greeting and logging patients into tracking software. The representative will gather necessary information for registration and to identify financial liabilities, collect patient financial liabilities, and provide receipts. Responsibilities may include patient pre-admission, registration, room assignment/transfer, and other tasks related to patient throughput and care. The role also involves assisting with patient transportation to scheduled areas, providing financial guidance to patients/families, RSFH staff, insurance providers, and physician office staff. This guidance includes explaining insurance benefits, financial assistance, and self-pay billing. A key aspect of the role is performing quality self-checks using software to prevent billing, identification, or other registration issues that could lead to revenue loss. The representative may also assist in preparing documentation related to quality, customer service, and other organizational initiatives.
