The Financial Services Representative will need to fully understand the details of our products and services in order to best serve our members. The ideal candidate will be courteous, professional, have a positive attitude, and will be dependable. Individual must have reliable transportation with the ability to work on-site at local offices. Initial training as well as supplemental training will be completed at a training center in Lancaster, SC, or Rock Hill, SC.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in a financial institution handling complex member issues, or two years of customer service experience
- Associate degree (2‑year degree)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software as needed
- Candidate must be available Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-6pm

Responsibilities
- Counseling and cross selling members on all services offered by Founders.
- Making decisions on loans as specified in the Loan Originator section of Loan Policy.
- Understanding and explaining new eligibility requirements for membership.
- Opening new accounts (Savings, checking, money management, etc.), account maintenance, ordering checks and assisting members with any problems they may incur with our services.
- Understanding and recognizing FFCU products and services and being comfortable cross selling Call 24, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, eStatements, Visa Debit/Credit Cards, ATM cards, etc.
- Establishing share certificates and IRA’s, including counseling the members on the features and benefits, processing account maintenance as required, and staying abreast of all regulations relating to these accounts.
- Maintaining an individual cash box and complying with all regulatory and procedural guidelines associated with performing necessary transactions.
- Responsible for overall plastic card maintenance in branch (includes processing applications, issuing cards, blocking cards, changing PINN #’s, assisting with problems, etc.).
- Interviewing applicants, reading and understanding credit reports and cross selling Founders loan products.
- Offering additional products such as GAP, extended warranties, payment protection, etc.
- Referring members to Founders Investment and Insurance Service agents.
- Approving loans to members within Matrix Lending authority guidelines.
- Seeking further approval for loan requests exceeding set limits.
- Having complete knowledge of Founders’ Loan Policy, loan programs, and procedures.
- Providing assistance with the collection of delinquent accounts.
- Verifying that all secured loans have properly recorded liens, insurance verification, and necessary values obtained prior to loan closing.
- Working in various offices, as needed.
- Complying with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA.
- Respecting and protecting the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
