The Financial Services Representative serves as a vital link between our patients and the financial and insurance aspects of their fertility care. You'll handle patient inquiries, streamline insurance verification and authorization processes, and provide financial counseling — all while enhancing the patient experience and ensuring full regulatory compliance. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare administration, insurance verification, authorizations, or financial counseling in a healthcare or fertility setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail across all tasks and documentation.
- Exceptional customer service abilities that foster positive patient interactions.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to representing FSAC with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries related to insurance coverage and the financial aspects of infertility services.
- Educate patients on their financial responsibilities, including insurance benefits, coverage options, and available payment plans — both in person and over the phone.
- Prepare and distribute patient financial packets via EngagedMD, ensuring required signatures are obtained prior to treatment start.
- Proactively contact patients to collect procedure-related fees and verify financial clearance before treatment proceeds.
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient emails, phone calls, and IMS reminders.
- Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate records within the FSR tracking spreadsheet.
- Collaborate with Clinical, Checkout, and Front Desk teams to support accurate and timely collection of patient payments.
- Provide backup support for checkout processes, insurance authorizations, and related billing functions.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols, safeguarding patient information at all times.
