Requirements
- A minimum of two years’ comprehensive experience in consumer lending
- Advanced member service and sales skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to complete additional educational components as required
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
- Mutual Funds License is preferred; or a commitment to obtaining within 6 months of start date
Responsibilities
- Take on a dual role specializing in retail lending and a focus on mutual funds, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
- Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
- Conduct member interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), and support the full personal lending process; including documentation preparation, credit analysis & payout.
- Adjudicate credit applications that are within assigned lending limits.
- Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
- Travel to and support branches within the Northern District on an as-needed basis.
