About The Position

This role involves a dual specialization in retail lending and mutual funds, with the primary goal of recommending solutions that help members achieve their personal financial objectives. The representative will anticipate and determine member needs, process requests, or refer members to the appropriate service area. Key responsibilities include conducting member interviews for personal loans, lines-of-credit, and mortgages, and supporting the entire personal lending process from documentation preparation to credit analysis and payout. The role also involves adjudicating credit applications within assigned limits and providing needs-based advice on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management, and investment/retirement planning. Establishing and maintaining effective member relationships through excellent service is crucial. Additionally, the representative may be required to travel to and support branches within the Northern District as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years’ comprehensive experience in consumer lending
  • Advanced member service and sales skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to complete additional educational components as required

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
  • Mutual Funds License is preferred; or a commitment to obtaining within 6 months of start date

Responsibilities

  • Take on a dual role specializing in retail lending and a focus on mutual funds, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
  • Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
  • Conduct member interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), and support the full personal lending process; including documentation preparation, credit analysis & payout.
  • Adjudicate credit applications that are within assigned lending limits.
  • Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
  • Travel to and support branches within the Northern District on an as-needed basis.
