About The Position

A Financial Services Representative is the person members trust to guide them through some of their most important financial decisions. This role assists members with opening, servicing, and closing accounts, conducting loan interviews, gathering documentation, and completing loan closings for approved applications. This role makes banking feel easy by turning complex details into clear, friendly conversations and by offering solutions tailored to their goals. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Confidence in sharing products and digital services, not as sales tasks but as ways to genuinely improve the member’s life.
  • Exceptional listening skills, ensuring every conversation feels personalized and members feel valued, not rushed.
  • A naturally warm, friendly, and welcoming presence, members feel comfortable approaching you with questions or concerns.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring applications are complete, documents are accurate, and account updates are handled correctly the first time.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to two years of sales, lending, or personal banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct loan interviews, gather the right information, and guide members through the process.
  • Help members feel informed, confident, and supported during important financial moments.
  • Listen deeply and recommend the right products that build trust and keep members engaged and connected to the credit union.
  • Simplify the member experience and remove unnecessary friction.
  • Protect the member’s best interest through thoughtful conversations, careful documentation, and effective guidance and solutions.
  • Support the success of the entire branch through cross-sell recommendations, referrals, and exceptional service that impacts branch goals, member satisfaction, and organizational growth.
  • Provides friendly, professional service across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
  • Processes transactions and documentation accurately while following policies and procedures.
  • Takes ownership of member needs and follows through on commitments.
  • Identifies and presents products and services that meet member needs.
  • Supports teamwork, represents MCCU positively, and contributes to a strong branch culture.
