About The Position

As a Financial Services Consultant II, you will play a key role in helping our members build and maintain a solid financial foundation. This includes opening new membership accounts, consulting with members on consumer lending needs, and providing education on any relevant product and service offerings including Mortgage, Commercial and IRA accounts. This role is heavily relationship-based with a strong focus on getting to know members to better understand their needs and provide tailored financial solutions that are in their best interest. The Financial Services Consultant II also may serve as a Notary and provide peer mentorship to new employees within the team. The ideal candidate blends their proven financial industry knowledge and consulting experience with a collaborative spirit, effective problem-solving skills, and a clear passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.

Requirements

  • Two years of credit union or financial institution experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively is required
  • Demonstrates strong aptitude to problem-solve independently and resolve challenges utilizing available resources
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time successfully
  • Showcases strong collaboration skills and adaptability when working within a cohesive team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting and sales experience highly preferred
  • Prior cash handling experience highly preferred
  • Positive attitude and proven ability to drive sales through excellent service
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
