About The Position

Join Oregon State Credit Union as a Financial Services Consultant I, where you will contribute to a community-focused credit union that prioritizes integrity, unsurpassed service, and member focus. This role involves helping members build and maintain financial stability by opening new membership accounts, consulting on consumer lending needs, educating them on relevant products and services, researching inquiries to resolution, and handling basic transactions like deposits and withdrawals. The position is heavily relationship-based, emphasizing personal connections to understand member needs and provide tailored financial solutions that are in their best interest. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting and customer service background, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals. Requirements

  • At least one year of relevant customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Positive attitude
  • Proven ability to drive sales through excellent service
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrates strong aptitude to problem solve independently and resolve challenges using available resources
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time successfully
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Pass a background screening

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting and sales experience
  • Prior cash handling experience
  • General computer skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Opening new membership accounts
  • Consulting with members on consumer lending needs
