About The Position

Langley Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Financial Service Representative to work on-site at their Aberdeen Branch in Hampton, VA. This role provides members and potential members with impeccable in-person service, utilizing consultative selling to offer financial products and services that meet or exceed their needs. The representative will identify opportunities to increase member engagement, educate members on Langley products and services to improve their financial well-being by helping them save, borrow, and spend wisely.

Requirements

Associates degree; or equivalent combination of education and/or service or sales experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize consultative selling to offer financial products and services that meet or exceed members’ needs.
Process consumer loan products and services ensuring compliance with Federal Regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures to include personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards.
Process all types of transactions for members including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account opening and all other requests.
Provide assistance to members with all account and loan related service needs including offering financial advice that will improve their financial well-being.
Assist with Online and Telephone banking, including enrollment, general education, troubleshooting and resetting passwords or security questions.
Record every member interaction and follow up utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and Document Management System.
Educate members on Langley products and services, making referrals to internal business partners.
Foster teamwork by professionally interacting with peers, supervisors, and other Langley employees.
Serve as front line deterrent against fraud and theft, protecting members and the Credit Union.
Support the day to day operations and efficiencies of the branch.
