About The Position

Securityplus Federal Credit Union is seeking a Financial Service Representative III to take a leadership role in delivering advanced financial services and mentoring their team. This role involves working closely with members to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and guide them through complex transactions. It is a blend of service, sales, and leadership, designed for individuals who thrive on building strong relationships, driving growth, and supporting team development. The representative will also engage with the community, support business partnerships, and act as a trusted advisor to members and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in customer service, financial services, or sales, with a focus on providing tailored solutions.
  • Strong consultative sales skills with a passion for helping members reach their financial goals.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Experience in handling complex financial transactions and a deep understanding of financial products and services.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligibility to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and maintain registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  • Availability to work Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a seamless, positive experience for members by delivering outstanding service in cash handling, account origination, and loan origination environments.
  • Apply consultative sales techniques to introduce members to advanced products and services such as IRAs, business accounts, title loans, and real estate loans.
  • Source new business opportunities through proactive conversations in the lobby, teller windows, and community spaces.
  • Drive growth in share-of-wallet, build employer partner relationships, and expand membership through community events and activities.
  • Encourage members to leverage our full range of access channels, including mobile and online banking, ITMs/ATMs, remote deposit, and shared branch services.
  • Act as a knowledge resource for the team, mentoring colleagues and preparing them for future career paths.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning by leveraging in-depth knowledge of products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively represent Securityplus in the community by leading presentations, engaging with local organizations, and promoting the benefits of membership.
  • Ensure daily branch operations run smoothly, maintain compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Safeguard member accounts by serving as the first line of defense against fraud and theft.
  • Foster relationships across business lines to deliver exceptional service and maintain a high standard of performance.
