About The Position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Financial Sales Representative to join our team of outstanding professionals at our Myers Road Financial Center in Summerville, SC. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and offering financial products and services that meet the customers' needs. The position requires building relationships with customers both in person and over the telephone, a passion for sales, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet goals. The ideal candidate is a reliable, cooperative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is proactive in taking on new challenges. The role also offers a work-life balance with a schedule that allows for nights and most weekends with family and friends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience working specifically in a sales position selling products and/or services.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members during the morning huddle and discuss sales goals for the day.
  • Greet and develop rapport with members who enter the financial center or call on the telephone.
  • Answer member questions about processes, such as the auto loan application process.
  • Ask members open-ended questions about their financial goals and recommend products and services based on their needs.
  • Follow up with members who recently opened an account.
  • Discuss wins, challenges, and progress on sales goals with management.
  • Call members to share new promotions for which they may qualify.
