This role involves conducting detailed, comprehensive, and independent financial risk analyses. The analyst will assist in various aspects of asset/liability management (ALM), including using financial models to assess Interest Rate Risk (IRR), Net Interest Income (NII), and Net Economic Value (NEV). The position also supports business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analyses related to ALM. Key responsibilities include developing financial risk analyses and stress testing for various risk types (IRR, credit risk, concentration risk, liquidity risk, capital risk), preparing management reports, and maintaining/assessing the credit union’s financial model assumptions. The role requires analyzing large datasets, performing model governance and back-testing, and ensuring data integrity. Additionally, the analyst will prepare ad-hoc financial risk analyses, enhance analyses through automation, and communicate findings to management. Building collaborative relationships and maintaining an understanding of relevant policies and regulatory requirements are also crucial. The specific level (I, II, or III) will be determined by the candidate's education and experience.
