Under general supervision, this position will supervise a team of Accountants by assigning work, reviewing deliverables, providing coaching and training, and conducting initial performance evaluations. This role will serve as a resource for accounting staff regarding accounting policies, reporting requirements, and month-end close procedures. The position is responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, management reporting packages, and budget-to-actual analyses to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. It will coordinate and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring adherence to the financial close calendar and completion of assigned deliverables. The role involves reviewing and approving journal entries, supporting documentation, and account analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Company policies. Additionally, the position will review account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and audit ready. It will assist in the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and strengthen compliance. The role oversees the preparation and analysis of operating expense and capital expenditure accruals, ensuring accurate reporting of operating costs and capital activities, and partners with various groups to analyze operating results, explain cost variances, and identify key business drivers. The position also prepares and reviews lease operating statements, capital reports, and operational metrics used by management to evaluate asset performance.
