About The Position

Provide leadership and coordination of company month end closing, balance sheet reconciliation process, budget variance analysis, and management training. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, Nevada MICS, and relevant federal regulations.

Requirements

State of Nevada Gaming Permit
Valid Driver’s License
D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)
Proof of Unexpired Personal Vehicle Insurance Coverage
Strong background in automated accounting and control systems
Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel
Ability to use power query or willingness to learn
Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
Ability to independently manage multiple tasks
College degree with a major in Business, Finance or Accounting; or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience

Nice To Haves

Experience with querying or financial software (Infinium, Coupa, Blackline, Showcase, GL Infor, SQL, etc)
Preparing reports from queries

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger accounting team.
Manage the month end closing process and oversee the closing checklist, ensure accounts are reconciled in an accurate and timely manner
Manage the preparation of the daily, monthly and annual financial reporting.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
Hire, train, supervise, lead, develop, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline team members.
Provide support to management for accounting issues and concerns.
Prepare schedules requested for the preparation of tax returns.
Verify the accuracy of the data transmitted to the financial reporting systems.
Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
