A Relationship Banker plays a key role in looking out for consumer and business customers. This role is responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. Key aspects include providing excellent customer service, resolving customer issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to grow relationships through various channels like pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, and referrals. The banker will educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships, as well as educate customers on optimizing their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking). Maintaining knowledge of all products, services, technology, and policies, and adhering to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures are also essential. The position requires demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication, and presentation.
