About The Position

The Financial Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions and accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This position investigates and resolves discrepancies, analyzes financial data, prepares reports, and works closely with accounting, billing, treasury, and operational teams to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, cash management, or financial reconciliation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience performing account reconciliations and researching complex financial discrepancies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, cash accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
Review and reconcile electronic payments, wire transfers, ACH transactions, credit card transactions, and other financial activities.
Monitor outstanding reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.
Prepare and maintain reconciliation schedules, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial transactions and identify trends, errors, or process improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams to resolve issues impacting financial records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Generate and distribute reconciliation and exception reports to management.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within reconciliation functions.
Assist with system testing, upgrades, and implementation of financial software enhancements related to reconciliation processes.
