This position works with the agency’s strategic plan, operational leaders, and the guidance within the agencies financial strategy to identify financial resource needs, lead efforts to ensure financial resource needs are well understood, approved, and acquired. Responsible for engaging in the rate case process where financial resources are acquired for some generating assets. The Financial Planning Manager has oversight responsibilities for Energy Northwest’s long-range planning and financial forecasting process. Works across the organization to develop long range financial plans that prioritize and allocate resources across operational initiatives, and strategic needs. Incorporate risk management principles to ensure adequate stress testing of plans and financial requirement adequacy is well understood based on evolving operational needs, internal strategies, and/or external environment or stakeholder conditions. Provide leadership and oversight of the following functional areas: Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Business Case Analysis, Long Range Planning, and operational risk management in conjunction with the agency’s Insurance program requirements.
