About The Position

Tschetter Group is an independent advisory firm focused on building life-long relationships with clients through a commonsense approach to investment management and planning. This position plays a key role in delivering a thoughtful, high-quality planning experience that helps clients gain clarity, confidence, and optimism around their financial lives. The Financial Planning Lead works closely with the Director of Client Experience, relationship advisors, and other team members to support the delivery of financial planning advice and strategies to clients. This role is intended to be a knowledgeable planning resource across the firm, helping advisors think through planning questions, maintain strong planning standards, and ensure consistency and integrity in the client planning experience. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for someone who not only has strong technical planning skills, but also aligns with our culture, values, and mission. The right person will be collaborative, detail-oriented, client-focused, and excited to contribute to building and continuously improving the Tschetter Group planning experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and CFP® certification required.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and ability to analyze financial data accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Drive and desire to help and serve others.
  • High emotional and social intelligence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Taxation or Tax Accounting, or a background in estate law, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary client service and communication to high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Embody the “Tschetter Group” way of caring for clients and connections while supporting and continuously improving the firm’s planning offering
  • Prepare, maintain, and update financial plans and planning analyses for clients
  • Support advisors in identifying planning opportunities and developing recommendations across a variety of financial planning topics
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings, including meeting agendas, presentations, and follow-up action items
  • Participate in client meetings at the advisor’s discretion
  • Serve as a resource to advisors on complex planning cases, including meeting preparation, analysis, and follow-up support as needed
  • Serve as a thought partner and planning resource to advisors and team members on technical or nuanced financial planning questions and strategies
  • Support the delivery of consistent planning processes, workflows, and client experiences across the firm
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in all planning work
  • Collaborate with advisors, service team members, and external professionals to help coordinate client planning needs
  • Continue developing technical planning knowledge and staying current on industry trends and best practices
  • Does not act as primary relationship manager
