About The Position

Strittmatter Wealth Management Group (SWMG) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Planning graduate to join our Paraplanner Apprenticeship Program. This multi-year career track is designed for individuals committed to becoming high-performing financial advisors. The program begins with hands-on paraplanning responsibilities and provides structured training, mentorship, and exposure to advanced planning strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning or related field required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills suitable for client facing interactions
  • High level of organization, reliability, and accountability
  • Strong client service orientation with a commitment to responsiveness and follow through
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy or quality
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, performance driven environment
  • Process oriented and results driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Minimum of three professional references required
  • Candidates are required to obtain their CFP certification within six months of employment with Strittmatter.

  • The cost of the CFP examination may be reimbursed, subject to applicable terms and conditions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial plans and recommendations for financial planning clients
  • Participate in the investment research process and serve as a member of the Investment Committee team
  • Prepare for client meetings and reviews, including reports, proposals, and financial illustrations
  • Take detailed notes during new client meetings
  • Utilize financial planning software to input client data, develop scenarios, and generate reports
  • Complete client assumptions, asset recommendations, and formal plan recommendation documents
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients by assisting with requests and ensuring account actions are completed
  • Maintain accurate client records, CRM database entries, and compliance files
  • Request insurance quotes as needed
  • Coordinate with internal team members, custodians, and insurance companies
  • Track weekly performance results and submit reports to management
  • Create and update operational processes and procedures on a weekly basis
  • Perform additional assignments as needed
