Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting or finance.
• Eight (8) plus years of accounting or finance related experience.
• 8 years' experience with financial and/or accounting related experience, with strong people and communication skills and ability to interact with diverse and senior levels of the organization.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated experience working with financial system applications.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in SAP, IBM Cognos and TM-1
• Advanced degree MBA or MA in Accountancy / Finance

Responsibilities

• Responsible to understand the main commercial strategies across the Key markets and help to create effective analysis/communication to present financial components to Sr Division Leadership including identifying trend anomalies, risk and opportunities in sales and P&L.
• Provide direct financial support for the long-term sales strategy through Abbott’s Organic Execution Model (OEM) and Annual Plan forecasting.
• Act as a key liaison with Area finance team to align deadlines for all the financial planning cycles, information requirements, reports and analysis required to ensure deliverables are submitted timely.
• Ensure a robust planning system in area to meet BU and Division requirements, recommend improvements to process to ensure efficient and timely results.
• Manage the P&L forecast consolidation process for the commercial areas which include SG&A, Rollforwards, and prepare financial slides for Global reviews.
• Partnered with key stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, R&D, Legal, etc.) to create Business Cases for New Product Introductions and brand extensions.
• Provides direct support for the Global Service organization.
• Prepare Global Commercial Monthly Reporting Package for commercial leadership that includes sales performance by key products, sales trend graphs by country/key product, and instrument placement detail.
• Support the on-going product and region profitability assessment and product pricing process including support of margin & profitability initiatives.
• Ensure reporting requirements to BU, Division, and Corporate are met in accordance with established calendars and timelines.
• Perform other Ad-hoc tasks as required by Area, Division, Corporate.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Support affiliates in activities related to accounting policies and procedures, consistent with General Accepted Accounting Practices and AI policies, Corporate Financial Procedures, and sound business practices.
