About The Position

AARP’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team develops the annual budget, periodic financial forecasts, and multi-year financial plan, and provides financial analysis to business groups, leadership, and the Board. The FP&A Intern supports financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision support across AARP. The paid internship offers hands-on experience in corporate FP&A and opportunities to develop analytical, financial modeling, communication, and business-partnership skills. The intern may also work on targeted analytical projects to improve decision-making, reporting, or FP&A processes and learn how financial information supports business insights and organizational priorities. During the Summer 2027 internship, the intern will assist with budgeting and forecasting, analyze financial performance, support management reporting and modeling, and gain experience with FP&A planning and reporting tools. The intern will own a defined capstone analytical project, gather and analyze financial and operational information, develop insights and recommendations, and present conclusions to FP&A leadership at the end of the internship. This is a paid, non-exempt internship. The hourly range is $18.40 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are not eligible for employee benefits. AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position. The role is performed in a home office environment, where the employee must be able to work effectively amid moderate home-environment noise.
