About The Position

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst facilitates the development and completion of activities within the Financial Planning & Analysis department for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, including long-term financial planning, financial proformas, and special finance-related projects and analysis functions. The analyst supports the system, which includes the Sarasota County Public Hospital District, its affiliates, and other related entities. The position assists with completing division projects and responsibilities in support of organizational goals, investigates and helps resolve data and reporting issues, and generates reasonableness reviews, hindsight analyses, other analyses, and ad hoc reports for assigned Healthcare System units.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a relevant field of study.
At least three years of experience with financial or analytical responsibilities; experience at a medium or large healthcare organization is preferred.

Competency in finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical techniques.
Computer skills with spreadsheet, word processing, and database programs, Power BI, and Microsoft applications, and the ability to quickly learn and use new systems.
Time-management skills and the ability to prioritize a variety of duties.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, take initiative, work as a team member, and work under pressure.
Experience coordinating clinical and financial analysis in a decision support environment.
