About The Position

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (FP&A) will provide timely financial, operational, and strategic analysis, leading to improved operational quality, lowered operational costs and increased operational responsiveness to our members’ needs. The FP&A Analyst will support the preparation of projections, based upon different business strategies, and proposed financial strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/business-related field or two years related work experience required.
  • Two years of financial/analytical experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and costing and general ledger systems.
  • Demonstrated attention to details. Skills in prioritizing and organization of work.
  • Effective communication skills – both listening and presentation and the ability to effectively write correspondence and memos.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourcefulness in gathering and reporting information.

Responsibilities

  • Support the budget process including managing budget targets and guidelines, overseeing data inputs. Creation of reports to measure the budgeted performance, and overall budget evaluation of results including monthly variance reporting.
  • Provide support to the process of systematically monitoring and analyzing industry trends in product pricing, balance sheet objectives, and changes in the economic environment as it pertains to the costs and pricing of all products. Measures pricing competitiveness along all product lines.
  • Update financial reports monthly that support management understanding of financial performance and variance drivers at a detailed level. Provide research on variance drivers by partnering closely with multiple external departments.
  • Execute the monthly forecast process. Partner with external departments by supporting each budget owner in their efforts to understand variances to budget on a monthly basis to accurately update the forecast for the remainder of the year based on those detailed discussions at a G/L level. Support the sales and operations teams on any updates to revenue and revenue activity related costs as it relates to the forecast.
  • Support project financial analyses as needed. Running payback analyses on project business cases and support the identification of financial risks of the projects.
  • Perform marginal analysis on loan and deposit pricing strategies. Also support other cost research to understand impact of loan losses and pricing at market, credit, and LTV level.
  • Conduct analyses as necessary in support of key business metrics and objectives.
