Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience
  • Analytical thinking and problem -solving ability to synthesize financial data into business insights
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
  • Capability to manage multiple monthly priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Experience with accounting systems like SAP and analytic tools such as Power BI or other intelligence tools
  • Comfortable working independently and continuous improvement mindset
  • Previous experience within the oil & gas industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support annual planning process developing the financial plan for a major operating segment
  • Utilize financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and decision making
  • Independently analyze financial results for insights to understand key business events
  • Contribute to recurring financial reporting activities, including oil and gas reporting and external disclosures
  • Monitor key financial metrics and challenge assumptions providing recommendations
  • Drive initiatives that improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities
  • Enable continuous enhancement and process improvement through dashboards and analytical tools
  • Partner in special projects, strategic analysis, and ad hoc requests from senior leadership
