About The Position

The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for independently performing assigned activities within the Financial Operations team while developing cross-functional proficiency across Treasury, Capital Markets, Accounting Operations, and Portfolio Management. Each Financial Operations Analyst will have primary responsibility for designated processes or functional areas while also being cross-trained to provide backup support across the broader team. The role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, financial aptitude, and the ability to research and resolve routine operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform assigned Financial Operations responsibilities and recurring processes.
  • Ensure assigned activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records, supporting documentation, and required approvals.
  • Research and resolve routine operational discrepancies and exceptions.
  • Escalate complex, unusual, or material issues to the Senior Financial Operations Analyst, Financial Operations Lead, or Director of Finance Operations as appropriate.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and supporting schedules.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other Financial Operations responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist with daily cash management and funding activities.
  • Process warehouse line draws, paydowns, and related transactions as assigned.
  • Assist with borrowing-base reporting and facility administration.
  • Process wires, ACH activity, transfers, and other cash movements in accordance with established controls.
  • Support funding operations for new loans and leases.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and research cash-related differences.
  • Maintain required Treasury documentation and reporting.
  • Support discounting, loan sales, and other funding transactions.
  • Prepare documentation and information required by banks and funding partners.
  • Assist with lender reporting and credit-facility administration.
  • Maintain accurate funding and transaction information within company systems.
  • Track outstanding funding requirements and follow up on unresolved items.
  • Assist with research and resolution of routine funding exceptions.
  • Prepare assigned account and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable, expense processing, credit cards, journal entries, and other operational accounting activities.
  • Research differences between Leasepath, Sage Intacct, bank activity, servicing information, and other financial records.
  • Complete assigned month-end schedules and close responsibilities.
  • Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for financial transactions.
  • Follow up on outstanding or unreconciled items through resolution.
  • Support portfolio administration and third-party servicing activities.
  • Assist with servicing requests, payment research, account-level issues, and operational exceptions.
  • Support internal workout and recovery activities when Financial Operations involvement is required.
  • Coordinate information and documentation related to repossessions, recoveries, and Asset Management activities.
  • Assist with portfolio and servicing reporting.
  • Maintain accurate information regarding assigned portfolio activities and outstanding actions.
  • Develop working knowledge across Treasury, Capital Markets, Accounting Operations, and Portfolio Management.
  • Crosstrain on critical processes outside of the Analyst's primary area of responsibility.
  • Provide backup coverage during employee absences, periods of increased workload, and other business needs.
  • Maintain current procedures and documentation for assigned responsibilities.
  • Communicate workload constraints, unresolved issues, and upcoming deadlines to the Financial Operations Lead.
  • Work collaboratively with other Financial Operations team members to ensure team priorities are completed.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Leasepath, Sage Intacct, banking platforms, Power BI, and other systems used by Financial Operations.
  • Identify repetitive manual activities, process inefficiencies, and recurring operational issues.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of system and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate data within company systems.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of procedures, checklists, and controls.
  • Support efforts to automate and streamline Financial Operations activities.
