Requirements

10-20 years of experience with titles like CFO, Controller, FP&A Director, Principal Consultant, or Business Owner.
Experience working inside SMBs, understanding owner concerns.
Ability to build financial models.
Proud of conversations that changed decisions and impacted companies.
Thinks like a business owner.
Prefers ~30-35 focused hours per week over 50 unfocused ones.
Prefers to be paid for results rather than seat time.
Seeks meaningful, interesting, and challenging work with a high degree of autonomy.
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial leadership, with titles such as CFO, Controller, FP&A Director, or Business Owner.
Hands-on experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses ($3M–$100M+ in annual revenue).
Proven ability to drive profitability improvement, margin expansion, and cash flow optimization through financial analysis.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, dashboards, and analytics tools.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Must reside in Texas or Georgia.

Nice To Haves

Previous business owner or entrepreneurial experience is considered a strong plus.
MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

Hold a portfolio of SMB clients (companies with $3M–$50M in revenue) as their outsourced financial leader.
Own the models, forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs that leadership actually uses.
Help owners and management teams every month translate numbers into decisions.
Push clients on pricing, labor efficiency, and margin optimization.
Contribute to improving the firm's methodology, delivery, and tools based on client engagement learnings.
