About The Position

As a client-facing data analyst on our Financial Intelligence team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on our national security policy and economic statecraft issues, contributing to high-profile intelligence analysis for key policy and decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Experience using open-source machine learning frameworks to answer business questions using proprietary data
  • Experience with statistical analysis, correlating disparate data, and OpenSearch analytics engine
  • Experience with probabilistic modeling or predictive modeling
  • Experience with performing data analysis using scripting languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, Spark or PySpark
  • Experience implementing machine learning processes into production software applications
  • Experience using big data tools to answer business questions with proprietary data
  • Experience in building property graphs from multiple data sources to perform network analytics
  • Ability to analyze large, unstructured, and noisy datasets and identify meaningful patterns that provide actionable results
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate's degree and 6+ years of experience with data analysis, Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with data analysis, or Master's degree and 2+ years of experience with data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting data analysis in a cleared and intelligence community environment
  • Experience with financial and trade data analysis
  • Knowledge of Western Hemisphere regional security, crime, or financial issues
  • Knowledge of formal and informal financial systems
  • Knowledge of financial crime and unlawful financial activity typologies
  • Ability to write finished intelligence products that conform to analytic tradecraft standards
  • Financial Intelligence, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS), or Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS) Certification

  • Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis, interpretation, and visualization of large data sets for intelligence analysis.
  • Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
  • Apply communication skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends based on audience.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, Jupyter, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to conduct large-scale financial or trade analysis in response to geopolitical developments.
  • Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, PowerPoint slides, or Tableau.
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across intelligence community audiences.
  • Work with us to help drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights.
