About The Position

Lazard is a global financial advisory and asset management firm with a collaborative community of over 3,000 professionals. We foster continuous knowledge sharing, skill development, and relationship building in an entrepreneurial culture that embraces individual differences. Our Sales teams engage investors to identify needs and explore how Lazard Asset Management (LAM) can meet them. This 10-week internship is designed for students interested in a career in Sales, specifically within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in the Americas. Interns will gain a deep understanding of FIG client engagement, LAM's products, advice, and service. The program includes role-specific training, mentorship, networking, volunteer opportunities, and engagement with employee resource groups like LEAD. The internship culminates in a final capstone project, such as an innovative sales pitch or an industry white paper.

Requirements

  • Rising undergraduate seniors only (graduating in 2028).
  • Ability to start internship June 7, 2027, and end August 13, 2027.
  • Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Consistent academic achievement.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for markets and investing.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong skills with Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Work with Financial Institutions Group sales reps and associates to understand LAM's diverse client base and strategic products.
  • Research major trends within the industry to drive sales channel business.
  • Network and grow relationships across the firm to gain a robust understanding of LAM.
  • Prioritize potential prospects list based on firm strengths and client needs.
  • Work alongside Financial Institution Group sales associates to complete client requests.
  • Use internal and external research tools to conduct analyses and deepen client relationships.
  • Update presentations for portfolio managers and sales representatives.
  • Conduct competitive analysis based on qualitative and quantitative metrics.
