Requirements

  • Associate Financial Data & Technology Analyst: 0 to 2 years directly related experience
  • Financial Data & Technology Analyst: 2+ years directly related experience
  • Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.
  • Finance experience or education needed
  • Experience in building dashboards and automation solutions for internal customers using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, Python, VBA, and SQL, Snowflake (Note: Experience with Power BI and Snowflake is highly desirable)
  • Experience in building 3 financial statement projections models
  • General understanding of GAAP and accounting concepts
  • Technical knowledge and experience such as systems design/integration/automation, large-scale data gathering/manipulation/integration, database design/integration, proficiency with ERP and other financial systems, and proficiency with budgeting software
  • Direct experience in key financial processes such as forecasting, budgeting, and historical variance analysis
  • Demonstrated competency in verbal and written communications and interpersonal understanding, including the ability to communicate with and provide solutions and support to less technical financial analysts
  • Excellent ability to research and understand financial customer and technology business requirements
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust, as this role supports all CFO functions
  • Ability to manage work and perform varied duties simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Identifying key financial processes throughout the CFO organization to improve around budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Devising or modifying existing processes to solve complex financial processes to enhance business strategies and outcomes.
  • Applying technologies to improve financial business processes through researching solutions and collaborating with other CFO team members to address their pain points.
  • Building automation for business and financial processes utilizing technology solutions such as Alteryx, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, Power BI, SQL Query, Snowflake, python, VBA or other solutions.
  • Using data engineering concepts and familiarity with ETL techniques and tools like Alteryx, Talend, Microsoft SSIS, Apache Airflow, etc. to automate financial processes.
  • Building data pipelines from key financial systems like SAP and budgeting software (like Anaplan) to build reports in visualization tools like Power BI, and building data pipelines to reduce manual work of sharing information throughout the organization.
  • Building dynamic 3 financial statement projection models.
  • Leading or supporting multiple technology projects simultaneously, managing responsibilities accordingly, and providing customer support to internal CFO groups.
  • Pairing data engineering, data transformation, data manipulation, ETL solutions, data science, decision analytics, and data visualization skills with their financial acumen and understanding of financial processes to build solutions for other less technical analysts.
  • Participating in industry organizations and specialized technology user groups to stay abreast of best practice business and technology processes, and communicating such knowledge to the team.
  • Proficiently communicating with finance leaders, documenting business needs, and establishing best data practices across the CFO organization.
  • Partnering with leaders across the CFO organization and IT personnel to deliver solutions and business outcomes.
