About The Position

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Our comfortable, homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing for the adults and seniors we treat. Our greatest asset is the staff, comprised of psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists. These individuals work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital’s reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve mental health and addiction problems. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. The Financial Counselor is responsible for verifying benefits and eligibility on admission inquiries, preparing admission folders, collecting co-pays/deductibles from patients, assisting with establishing effective and timely payment plans, coordinating with utilization review and discharge planning efforts to limit risk of non-payment, providing ongoing patient benefit information, participating in patient discharge procedures, and coordinating financial arrangements with collection personnel. Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm Position eligible for bonus incentives for meeting collection goals.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in admission processes and collections procedures
  • A working knowledge of managed care
  • Interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans
  • A working knowledge of computers and business software programs (Excel) preferred
